When should you visit Dubai?
Dubai can feel like two completely different destinations depending on when you go. We compare weather, crowds, prices and events to find the month that fits you best.
My recommendation
February
February gives you some of Dubai's best weather without the extreme heat of summer. Days are warm enough for beaches, rooftops and desert trips, while evenings remain comfortable for restaurants and nightlife. It is still high season, but offers an excellent overall balance for a first trip.
Best balance
October & April
Shoulder-season value without full summer heat.
Best weather
January–February
The coolest, most comfortable stretch.
Avoid
July–August

Plan around
What to know before you book
- Ramadan
- Ramadan can affect opening hours, dining and daily routines, but should not automatically be avoided. For 2027, Ramadan is currently expected to begin around 8 February, with Eid al-Fitr expected around 9–10 March, subject to official moon sighting.
- Extreme summer heat
- Temperatures regularly exceed 40°C with high humidity in July and August. Summer trips work only when built around hotels, pools and indoor attractions — in exchange for the lowest prices and fewest crowds of the year.
- Dubai Shopping Festival
- One of the city's biggest annual events, with major sales and entertainment. It amplifies peak-season crowds and hotel demand — great if you want the buzz, busier and pricier if you don't.
- Dubai World Cup
- One of the world's richest horse races. Hotel demand and prices rise around race day — confirm the current year's date before booking March trips.
- Dubai Summer Surprises & New Year's Eve
- Summer Surprises adds indoor entertainment and shopping deals during the hot months. New Year's Eve is the opposite: spectacular celebrations around the Burj Khalifa, but the busiest and most expensive night of the year.
